Types of orthodontic treatments

Invisible orthodontics

Clear aligners (Invisalign or Clear Correct)

This technique is a real revolution for many. Made from clear plastic, custom-made Invisalign removable trays (also called aligners) allow a gradual movement of the teeth. Each set of aligners are worn for one to two consecutive weeks.

There are many advantages to use them, even if the first one to be seen is aesthetics.

  • Discreet processing
  • Hygiene and maintenance of aligners are very easy
  • No food restrictions
  • Comfortable and stable
  • No metal in the mouth
  • Treatment generally shorter than with a traditional method

Lingual orthodontics

Lingual orthodontics is one of the fixed appliances, with the difference that the braces are glued to the inner surface of the teeth and are therefore not visible from the outside.

Conventional orthodontics

What is commonly referred to as “braces” is, in fact, all the boxes and wires that will be installed in the mouth.  The apparels can be either metallic, transparent or ceramic and are glued to the teeth.

Treatment will vary in duration depending on the patient’s age, condition, option chosen and attendance.
